Charise Tiffany Byers, a native of Philadelphia Pennsylvania, discovered her love for dance at The New Freedom Theatre at the age of seven. She continued to train with various studios and graduated from
the Philadelphia High School for Girls. Charise currently works for National Aeronautics Space
Administration (NASA) and is a graduate of Morgan State University where she received her BS in
Electrical Engineering. Charise is the co-founder and Artistic Director of Byers Dance Academy; a studio
focused on Building Dynamic Dancers and Influential Individuals. She is a former Assistant Director of
the Morgan State University Modern Dance Ensemble and the former Dance Line Coordinator for the Morgan State University Marching Band. Charise is a former member of Shange Dance Productions and Nona Lee Dance Theatre and is a current member of Soulful Praise Dance Ministry and Full Circle Dance Company. Charise has trained and performed with The New Freedom Theatre, Philadanco, ELeone Dance Theatre, Morgan State University Modern Dance Ensemble, Morgan State University Marching Band, Dallas Black Dance Theatre, Milwaukee Dance Connections, Walt Disney, Dishi-Bem, and many more.
