Kareem Best, a native of Baltimore, began his training in ballet at Peabody Institute of John Hopkins University under the direction of Barbara Weisberger and Melissa Stafford as an Estelle Dennis Men’s Scholarship Recipient. He graduated from Carver Center for the Arts and Technology as a Dance Major and trained at Morton Street Dance Center and Royal Performing Arts Center. Kareem attended summer intensives at Dance Theatre of Harlem, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre, Joffrey Ballet, BalletX, and Philadanco. Kareem received his BFA in Dance at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, where he also danced with The Philadelphia Dance Company “Philadanco” Second Company “D2.” While in Philadelphia Kareem worked with choreographers Donald Lundsford, Douglas Becker, Lewis Johnson, Milton Myers, Gary Jeter, Anthony Burrell, and Tommie Waheed Evans.  Kareem has also worked with Debbie Allen, Tyler Perry, Contemporary West Dance Theatre, Ballethnic Dance Company, Atlanta Dance Connection, the National Dance Company of Bahamas, and as a dancer on the Kanye West “Donda” album release Concert. This is Kareem's first year with Full Circle Dance Company.
