Josette graduated from the University of Chicago with a B.A. in Economics and minor in Theater and Performance Studies. While in college, she danced with UChicago Maya Dance Company, Ex Dance Crew, and Echo Modern Dance Collective. After graduating, Josette spent another year dancing and teaching in Chicago before relocating to join Teach for America Baltimore as a high school math teacher.
